I imagine I've probably bled off most of my readers by now....there's only so long you can come back to a stagnant pond to see if something has crawled out of it before you get bored and move on to the next cesspool in your queue.
I mean, I'm bored, and it's my blog.
I have my first event tonight as a published author, though, that's sort of interesting. The book I'm published in is an anthology, so there are probably about 150 words in it that are mine, but still, it is an actual book. I don't get any money for it (that all gets donated to NPR youth radio), and the subject matter is, well, not what I would have expected my first published work to be about...but there it is. I can only stand next to my wife for so long without getting swept up in her YA whirlwind.
So if anyone has nothing to do tonight at 7, and happens to be in Salt Lake City, come to The Kings English. I mean, I'm not very engaging, but my wife will be there, so that's something.
I'll be the one in the blood-stained shirt.

Aw, he's alive! I had such high hopes...
Just kidding.
I actually read your 150 words, and I enjoyed them very much. They were very funny. Besides, you got into a book (and not just the acknowledgements)! A real, published book. Congratulations!

Welcome back. Some of your regular readers are subscribed to your rss feeds, like myself. I abolutely love your Micro Mondays and Friday Fives, and can no longer imagine life without them.
Now give me what I came here for. I'm going through withdrawal.

Like stones, I've got you on my feed. And I'm missing the microstories and fives, but I can imagine that having your wife on the Torso Tour might throw you off schedule.
Anyway, I really wish I was at the event tonight. My husband and I planned on coming, but couldn't for very annoying reasons involving law enforcement officers. I hope you enjoy yourself!

You did well. An exemplary combination of feral manliness coupled with token obeisance. You are truly a giant among men.
Also? "This is the sound we hear when we die."

Alas, due to lack of car, I did not make it to the event. Also, I check your blog daily, as it is in a list of links, and I had hope that someday you would post again. ;)

Yep. I have you on a feed too, so I'm always up to date. I wanted to go up to TKE, but like Celes, I had no car.

You know, checking out your blog for the first time, i would have thought you were joking about the blood-stained t-shirt - but no. :)
It was very fun to hear you guys at the KE - nice work!
(and the red sweater is awesome).
