- Why men who aren't gestapo (or tap-dancers, but hey, same thing) wear shoes that "clack" on tile floors.
- Why I can't find gloves that fit me in ANY home improvement store. It's like looking for size 14 shoes in 1988 all over again.
- Why people who live east of Colorado tend to pronounce the name of the state just south of Washington like a spray-on paddle solvent ("Oar-o-Gone!")
- Why the term "Wi-Fi" caught on. It wasn't the hip youth, I know that. I'm old, and I barely know what "Hi-Fi" meant.
- Why certain flavors of cardboard remind me of my childhood.
Flavors.
Of *cardboard*.
That right there should be enough to give any nanotech pause.

Have you seen those Wi-Fi hotspots in your local cafe? I wonder how they channel that geothermic energy into internet...

I once new a lady who said that razorblades tasted salty. After telling me that she used to suck on Razorblades as a child I say "The blade wasn't salty dear."

That's kind of creepy, Enna Isilee.
You hilarious, Dean. :D

Oh, and I live in Oar-o-gone. ;D

Ha. I just watched a webisode of a webseries (you can stick "web" in front of anything these days)and it stared a woman who was from "east of Colorado" and she really did say Oar-o-gone.
Huh.

And that would be starred, not stared.

Just what sort of childhood did you have?

I'd love to be the spokesperson for Oar-o-gone.
Me: Go ahead, try Oar-o-gone. It's been the favorite spray-on paddle solvent of people east of Colorado for fifty years.

Oh, and just so y'all know, I'm about to go into hideous convulsions caused by Microstory withdrawals, so avert your eyes.
Uh-oh, it's starting...Aarrg!!

Monday isn't yet over dear. And Dean (no matter what we may think) is not a posting robot.

I know, and I try to keep that in mind. But I live for Microstory Monday.

Oh, I'm from Oregon and I so hate it when Easterners can't pronounce it. I really chuckled at your statement on cardboard.

flyhigh: I have wanted to ask that for a long time.
